The UPSDM Short Term Training (STT) Project is designed to empower women through industry-oriented vocational education in the Textile and Apparel sector. The program focuses on developing practical skills, enhancing employability, and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for women from semi-urban and economically underrepresented communities. Through hands-on training and expert guidance, participants gain the confidence and technical expertise required to build successful careers or establish their own enterprises.
Impact Created
The project has successfully transformed the lives of many women by equipping them with market-relevant skills and industry exposure. Participants have secured employment in textile and garment industries, while others have established tailoring units and small-scale enterprises. The initiative has contributed to economic independence, increased workforce participation, and enhanced social inclusion, supporting the broader vision of women empowerment and sustainable community development in Uttar Pradesh.
